About Me
Thank you for looking at my profile!
Current times can be extremely hard to make sense of and to successfully adjust for our kids (you aren't alone!). Let’s work together to discover how we can move your child forward.
In 2010, I graduated from Texas A & M University-Commerce with a Masters in Social Work. I have worked with those experiencing a decline in their health, those experiencing a mental health and/or substance abuse issues, those involved with Family Protective Services, those experiencing homelessness, those involved in the legal system and youth who aimed to re-establish supportive connections.
I focus on teenagers and adults; using cognitive, emotion-focused, interpersonal, solution-focused and mindfulness techniques to help you become aware of how you think and feel and how these affect your life. Being aware of your thought-processes and how these affects your feelings and actions is critical in making the changes you desire.

My daughter loves Roberta McKnight-Dupas. She finishes counseling each time and says, "I love talking to her". I can tell when she misses a week. It has been a great experience. Thank you!
Roberta is very patient with me and helps me come up with plans for tackling my immediate concerns. She has lots of great ideas and helps me stay on track in my life, but also to work through and allow myself to rest and take breaks when I need to. She also checks in on me regularly and encourages me when I take action! I really appreciate our conversations.
I appreciate Roberta very much. She is so down to earth and easy to talk to. We laugh together, and I've cried too. Less now! She helps me to look at my baby steps as REAL accomplishments, to be gentle with myself when I waver, and she also pushes me and reminds me to really think about the "why" when I start to "rebel" against my own intentions. When I first met Roberta, I was in a very dark place. I still struggle every day now, (but, no buts!) AND I feel a lot better. My ability to get up in the morning, to celebrate when I achieve a goal, and to be compassionate with myself have all improved. I will continue to meet with Roberta to help me on my journey. I'm very grateful for her.
I often write a lot in my messages, and she takes the time to read all of it and provide insight on each topic brought up in my messages. That is much appreciated
So far our experience has been very positive.
She's great!
Roberta has been very helpful, she is caring, insightful and easy to talk to. She takes time to read and respond to messages in timely manner. Her schedule is also very flexible. We are very happy with Roberta, she has had a very positive influence on my daughter in only a few sessions so far. Thank you Roberta.
I love Roberta. Very kind and relatable. Also she holds no bias in our couple counseling.
So far she has been very supportive and responsive. I really appreciate talking to her.
