I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. Born the eldest of seven children, I have always felt called to be a helper and healer. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and children both in individual and group settings. I also have experience working with couples and families. I have worked with members of the military and their families as well. Some clinical issues I have the most experience in include depression, anxiety and stress management, trauma and abuse, and parenting concerns.
My counseling style combines strength-based, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused approaches to help individuals achieve their therapeutic goals, along with a focus on building resilience, peace, and wholeness. Everyone has strengths and coping skills that they have learned and used throughout their life. Identifying those strengths and coping skills is an important step to building an individual’s or family’s toolbox that can be used to help work through various issues and to increase resilience in that individual or family.
Establishing a therapeutic relationship with the person, couple or family is something I work towards initially, and throughout therapy, as having a good connection is something I believe helps facilitate effective counseling and ultimately provides the best outcomes. As a therapist, I work diligently to meet each individual where they are at, listen actively and respect where they would like to see themselves in the future with the help of therapy. I am supportive, compassionate, and present with individuals during struggles and achievement and progress. I believe that it is important to find the root of problems in order for clients to heal fully and to continue to make progress.
I have worked with children, teens and their families since the beginning of my career. During this time, I worked with many different issues and concerns, including trauma and abuse, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, autism spectrum concerns, and parenting and relationship issues. I believe that addressing these issues and concerns earlier rather than later, is vitally important for today’s younger generation, because teaching our children and teens health coping skills and reinforcing their strengths will build their resilience and ability to respond to any further struggles or difficult times that will inevitably happen as they enter adulthood.
The best way for progress to be made is by working collaboratively on treatment goals and through open communication regarding what therapeutic techniques and approaches work best for the person. Collaboration and hard work on both sides of the therapeutic relationship is vitally important to healing. I value each client and empathize with the range of emotions that may be experienced throughout treatment. I believe that everyone has the ability to overcome struggles, both present and past, and heal, but recognize that sometimes having additional support from an objective “outsider” in the form of therapy can allow clients to better identify and use the coping skills and strengths they already possess.
You have taken the first step in finding peace, joy, and wholeness and becoming healthy and I am honored to help you in that journey!

Rebekah has been invaluable in helping me get through some of the things that have been going on in my life lately. I have been struggling with depression with a while, but she has been very supportive and I feel like she listens and gives constructive ways to deal with it.
Rebecca is awesome. She has really helped me tremendously.
An amazing counselor!!
I am a Christian as she tailors her advice to my beliefs.
Rebekah is wonderful! She has been such a support, friendly, approachable and extremely knowledgable when it comes to managing anxiety as well as the Christian faith. I am very grateful for her support and guidance and would highly recommend her to others.
I haven't been with her long, but I feel more comfortable with her then any other counselor I've seen. I guess it's because I feel more free to express myself when I can text/write to someone rather than speak. She has also really helped ease my anxiety and made me feel slightly less depressed by giving me things to do between sessions.
Rebekah is fantastic. She is kind while not hesitant to point out the truth. I would recommend her to anyone.
Rebekah is amazing and so helpful! She has helped me work through some really tough stuff.
I was skeptical about the counselors and using this app. It’s so easy, convenient, and credible. Bekah is awesome. She’s honest, but caring. She’s compassionate, but realistic. Very down to earth.
Rebekah has been supportive in my journey to recovery. She is a good listener and offers good counselling advice, therapeutic techniques, and valuable resources to help me along with my journey.
Rebekah is also prompt in her replies and she seems to be really passionate in what she's doing. I would definitely recommend her to any friends or family members that need counselling services, especially faith-based counselling!
She makes herself available and seems to truly care about the well being of my daughter and me.
Rebekah was extremely helpful and understanding in our sessions. She was always sure to try and help me realize the underlying issues I was dealing with. Also, she was very proactive about recommending me outside resources to help me along my journey. I found as a fellow mother she was relatable in a way that felt genuine and nonjudgmental. I am grateful for the time I spent interacting with her and would recommend her to friends and family looking for counseling.
This has been a very positive, enlightening and healing process. It works well for me because I process things better in writing. Rebekah is very responsive and gives me good feedback and tools to reach the goals I set for myself. As new things come up, she adjusts quickly but doesn’t lose sight of the long term goal.
Rebekah Shaulis has been a wonderful counselor and has provided concise treatment that is geared towards my needs. A very kind and patient person who is willing to listen well.

I would highly recommend Rebekah to anyone who needs support or counseling, as she is so easy to speak to and highly knowledgeable.

I was nervous about trying teen counseling, but I feel like I’ve really clicked with Rebekah! She’s been helpful and makes me feel comfortable sharing what I’m thinking and feeling; and she has incorporated scriptures into our sessions for me. I would recommend her to a friend or family member. Thank you so much.

My counselor has been such a safe haven for me. She is a great listener and asks just the right thing for me to identify my own patterns of behavior. There's no judgment and she directs me back to Truth.
It has only been a few days, but Rebekah is AMAZING. After years of searching, I finally have a therapist that I can trust and make progress with! I LOVE her use of CBT and CPT!
Within the first phone call, Rebekah prevented me from blowing up my marriage, and she's been working hard since then to help me repair it and myself. She's been a phenomenal resource, and I can't thank her enough.
