My name is Rachel McClain, M.A., LPC, and I look forward to supporting you!
I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma. I acquired my B.A. in Psychology and minored in Sociology (with a focus in Substance Abuse Studies). I later attained my Masters in Counseling Psychology where I served as a clinician in training in the department ran counseling clinic under the care of the faculty where we served children, teens, and adults.
Following graduation, some of my experiences include facilitating individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, teaching, administering assessments, advocacy, and providing psychoeducation in a variety of settings. I have also created curricula for adjudicated youths and fellow clinicians (workshops/teaching). I often work with clients who have experienced deep trauma and hold state and national accreditation for TF-CBT.
I genuinely love what I do as a practicing licensed clinician. I have been trained in several trauma informed treatment modalities. I have worked frequently with young adults, teenagers, and families. My primary goal is to aid in balancing out overwhelming thoughts, and emotions through psychotherapy for children, teenagers, & adults. My treatment modalities are tailored to fit each client based on need. I believe that treatment should be both client centered and empirical.

I’ve met with Rachel three times now. She’s listens carefully and follows through. She holds me accountable in a caring supportive way. She is helping me make the changes I need to make to get where I want to go.
Since I began seeing her, I feel more confident in my ability to manage my anxiety and depression. I feel supported and validated when I talk to her.
Only after 3 sessions I’ve know I’ve made effective progress. As a newbie to therapy, I’ve been at ease. She’s very easy and comfortable to speak.
Rachel McClain has been amazing. She makes this process seem effortless and nonstressful. How could it be stressful? Not everyone likes admitting they need help. Especially not me, I am a full-time wife, student, and employee. How could I do all this but can't handle myself? Finally, I caved in and decided to have someone who knows more give me a professional opinion. When I came to teen counseling I was matched up with Rachel and we clicked perfectly. She was able to help me get down to the root in the first session. That may not happen for everyone but that is what happened to me. She is very positive and really listens to your concerns and questions. As I walk along my new mental health journey I would not want anyone else.
Rachel is warm and a great listener. She challenges my thoughts and offers new perspectives on how to view situations.
