About me
Hi! My name is Rachel and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Certified. Being a teenager is hard and often many teens do not feel they have some to talk to, someone who will listen, and relate to them. I have spent the past 17 years working in a school setting. Every day, I have had the opportunity to work with teens just like you. I spend my days listening to students talk about dating, social media, their parents, school, stress, etc....
I use a client centered, motivational approach to therapy. I focus on collaborating with clients and meeting them where they are at in their life journey. I believe building a relationship with clients is the most important indicator of success in therapy. I want each client to feel heard and respected, while working to build a foundation of trust and understanding.
I got my Bachelor’ s degree from the University of Maryland in Family Studies and my Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Certified (LCSW-C), I have worked with a wide variety of clients in different settings, such as schools, hospitals, and private practice. My experience includes working with young adults with relationship issues, personal development, depression and anxiety issues, trauma, autism, ADHD and executive functioning. I am a passionate therapist who believes that therapy should be a positive experience for each individual while motivating positive change and a more fulfilling life.
Taking the first step to look for help is not always an easy one. I am proud of you for reaching out and look forward to working together.

She’s wonderful
Excellent therapist. Puts her clients needs first.
I love Rachel, so happy she is my therapist
I am grateful to have Rachel as my therapist. She is like a mom to me :)
Helpful and kind
Great therapist and checks in on a weekly basis.
She is very good at recognizing what I am trying to say. She helps me organize my thoughts
Rachel is very kind and thoughtful. She is very responsive and I appreciate how much she prepares for every session we have together!
She's helpful, on time and worked with my schedule even in later hours. Talking points could be brief or elaborated, she adjusted as I need.
I am very grateful to have been matched with Rachel. She has really showed me several constructive tools that have already made a huge positive impact on my life. She is incredibly responsive (even when I bother her on the weekends) and provides thoughtful insight into any type of situation that I bring to her in our sessions. She makes me feel heard and respected but also challenges me to really think about difficult situations from other points of view.
I am very thankful for her and would highly recommend her to anyone who asks.
Rachel is great. Very respectful, listens to what I have to say, and has never invalidated me or the way I feel. Coming from a very bad experience with a previous therapist, I was happily surprised that she made me feel comfortable enough to open up.
Couldn’t ask for a better person. Insightful caring and much more. I’m having a wonderful experience. Thanks so much!
