About Me

Congratulations on taking the first step of improving your life and supporting your family by seeking support!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 7 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in-homes, in the community, and in the school setting specifically. I have extensive knowledge of the challenges of child and adolescent development and family functioning. I can help children and adolescents navigate the challenges of learning how to manage emotions, navigate transitions in life, and process the pressures of society (regarding social media, developing a purpose in a world with a lot of pressure, and contributing to the family in the home). Children, adolescents and teens can learn how to think positively, have problem solving skills, and communicate instead of avoiding or becoming angry or defiant. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to guide people to identify and change their negative thoughts to take control of their motivation and positive thinking leading to positive behaviors.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, difficulties with identity development, life transitions, family conflict, ineffective patterns of behaviors and thoughts, suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors, just to name a few. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to teach grounding exercises, communication skills, and how to enjoy the little things in life. In addition, I have specific training in EMDR therapy techniques to address trauma that is current affecting teens and children.

It takes courage to take the step to become a better you as you seek for a more fulfilling and happier life. Change is difficult but you are here, taking the first step, be proud of yourself. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!
