About Me

Change is not only possible, it is a law of nature. However, we also must not change just for the sake of change either, but rather deal with what we are facing head on and learn how to live with the pain that those things we cannot change often brings. You are currently in some kind of pain, and instead of succumbing to that pain, let me assist you in working through that pain and transferring that pain into passion, purpose and productivity. This life is yours and nobody else's, and you can learn to live the life you have imagined without fear. Are you ready for a new life? Ready for a life where you are master and captain?

I have over 20 years of clinical and academic experience in the mental health profession working and studying with a diverse clientele ranging from adults, adolescents, children, geriatrics, psychiatrics, addictions, developmental disabilities, music therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy, cross cultural populations and anger management.

Please check my availability and schedule a day and time that works best for you. Please know that I only do hour sessions and only set appointments on the top of each hour; not times on the half hour. If you send me a message on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, please allow me to respond on Monday. I am humbled that you have taken the steps to begin the journey towards the rest of your life and that I happen to be the one to help you on this journey!!!!

Dr. Cooper provided really exactly what I needed to improve my self-esteem and recognize my own potential. He helped me with a variety of issues, but most notably he helped me bring my self-confidence to a new level that I can already feel is improving my life.

Just getting started with teen counseling and Dr. Cooper and I’ll just say, I’m SO thankful for both! teen counseling has given me a way of keeping a Journal and having some self accountability for keeping up with it because I know someone is going to be looking at it and talking to me about it! Dr. Cooper has been attentive helpful and supportive after every journal entry I make, letting me know he did in fact read it, and then in the 1 video session we have had thus far, has talked to me about almost all the things I’ve brought up in my journals! Very satisfied so far 10/10, 5 stars, can’t wait to continue!

Dr. Cooper has been awesome. He’s very professional, knowledgeable and skilled. My son actually looks forward to his appointment. The chat feature is so amazing for shy teens.

Dr. Cooper has greatly exceeded my expectations for experiences with a therapist. He is very knowledgeable, and working with him has greatly helped me resolve my issues with anxiety. Most significantly, I do not ever feel like he is being judgmental towards my issues, life, or concerns. I highly and enthusiastically recommend him!

He actually listens instead of forcing me to just hear ideas! He tells me what I need to do but understands that it isn't easy for me and I love the fact that he gives scenarios and examples to help me actually understand what I'm supposed to be learning! Very patient and down to earth!

Dr. Cooper is a highly professional, thorough, and compassionate therapist who offers both a client-centered approach and flexible schedule which employs various therapeutic technics specifically tailored to the needs of his patients. He gives particular attention to his patient's needs in counseling and affords his patients with the opportunity to take an active role in their therapy. I am grateful for both his advice and guidance in our sessions and especially appreciative that he holds me accountable to my expressed goals in therapy.
