About Me

Choosing a counselor who can actually understand your situation is very important. I truly believe the successes I have had in counseling stem from having experienced many of life's problems and survived! Clients know when they are in the presence of someone who is genuinely concerned about their situation. Having an educational degree is all well and good in this profession, but being real, and able to empathize with people and their problems is just as important. Aside from holding a Master's degree in Professional Counseling, Ms. Peggy is someone who has lived through many life experiences, which makes her very understanding and empathic. She is able to help you feel very comfortable sharing your most personal information, as to the presenting problem(s) that has/have brought you to the need for counseling. My professional orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Counseling. This means that I believe many mental health issues stem from the way we think and if we can change the thinking we can help the client.

I absolutely love Miss Peggy! She is easy to talk with and has great insight! I believe her discernment is what makes her a great counselor, and she is wise because of her own life experiences! I am thankful she was recommended to help our family!

A wonderful person and great Counselor. She has the ability to clarify and bring peace to a complex and chaotic situation. She understood my partner and I from both ends of the spectrum. A blessing to have her.
