About Me
It is not abnormal to feel helpless or overwhelmed by your life experiences. And although change can at times cause as much anxiety as dealing with these life issues, there is a point where it becomes necessary to change the path you are on. Here, I feel a professional therapist’s job is to empathetically and objectively listen, observe and work with the client to set a realistic and appropriate treatment plan.
Together, we will evaluate…
What your primary concern is.
What your goals for treatment are.
How to accomplish your goals.
My name is Pamela and my passion is also my vocation—helping people cope and overcome obstacles in life through counseling. As a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy I have helped peers, subordinates and even superiors obtain self-awareness, resolve issues and problems, identify patterns and find the peace in their lives with the everyday stresses that would inevitably arise in the high stress environment of a diverse and stressful military workplace. I bring this and culturally attuned, individually tailored evidence-based psychotherapy to assist clients with PTSD, depression, anxiety, adjustment and psychosocial stressors.
I am a graduate of Capella University where I received a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Completed a post-master's certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice from New York University and also obtained my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and Certified Grief Counseling Specialist (CGCS) certifications. I have practiced in residential and community settings as well as private practice, telehealth and court-mandated counseling with domestic violence survivors and perpetrators.
I am a Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist (CGCS) and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) who specializes in helping people with a wide range of concerns and diagnoses including developmental disabilities, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger management, domestic violence, PTSD, and self-esteem building.
I am looking forward to working with you. Please take the time to reach out to me!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Pamela Kulisek. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
I'm very happy with her. My daughter feels very comfortable.
Pamela is amazing therapist
One of the most patient and understanding therapists I have had.
Pam and I have connected well. She is very sensitive to my issues and provides much-needed support
Shes very experienced!
Pam is a fantastic therapist, and working with her since 2020 has helped me gain more self-awareness, more acceptance and grace, more patience and more love towards myself. Pam was always so understanding of my needs, even when it was difficult for me to express them clearly. She reminded me that the experiences I have with anxiety are not uncommon, and that I wasn't alone in my struggle. She helped me through a mentally/emotionally difficult time in my life, and I'm so glad she was there to help guide me. I have learned so much about myself, and have teencounseling.comed a part of myself that I had lost awareness of for a time. With Pam's help, I have grown into a stronger, healthier woman, and I'm so grateful to her. I continue to implement all that she taught me outside of our sessions, and I know that if I ever needed a guiding hand again, Pam would be there for me.
Pamela is great! I feel listened to and understood.
I started seeing Pam in the height of the pandemic. She did what I think we all want from a therapist, which is to help you help yourself. I have grown so much as an individual this past year and Pam has given me tools that will last me a lifetime. Pam is kind, patient, easy to talk to, and open minded. I am eternally grateful for our time together and would recommend her practice to anyone and everyone!
Great therapist very helpful
Pam supported me through a difficult breakup, and I always feel heard and understood by her during our sessions. She’s insightful, cares deeply, and is there for you every step of your personal growth journey. Truly grateful to have had her as my counselor.
Pam is amazing! Extremely professional and very helpful. She listens before she speaks, asks the right follow questions, and provides effective feedback. What I respect most about Pam is her willingness to share her own story.
Thank God for Pamela to help me sort out my thoughts and help guide me along my way
Pam is a wonderful, kind hearted person who will lead you toward your goals and help you understand yourself. She's the best counselor I've had with teen counseling.
Pam is a tremendous help.
I’m so happy I was matched with Pam. She is intelligent, professional and easy to talk to. Her style of counseling is exactly what I needed to help me through a tragedy. I always feel like I’m having a conversation with a friend that wants to genuinely help me feel supported and heard.
Pam is guiding me through such a difficult time in my life. She notices things about me that I don’t even see and it’s so helpful to have her unique insight. She is always there for me. I am very lucky.
She is great and very helpful. She is respectful and listens to you and gives you great advice.
Pam is calm, patient and understanding. She presents concrete points to help understand a problem and leads you to act on the solution. I always feel positive and at peace after speaking to her. I like her approach to resolve issues and her methods have been working great for me.
Pam is kind, intelligent and she keeps it real. Because of her my first experience with therapy could not have been more welcoming or seamless. I feel very grateful that I was matched with a counselor of such high caliber who guided me in a way that was both tangible and easy to understand. She is genuine and our time together has gifted me with hope for a better, brighter tomorrow. I’m convinced you won’t find anyone better. Thank you Pam!!!
She's working with my daughter and things are going well!!
Pam has helped me through one of the toughest times I had faced. She’s very supportive and professional and genuinely cares about her clients. Definitely would recommend her service
Pamela Kulisek has been fantastic with me. Right from the beginning she let me know what her approach was to help her clients. She listened to me as I told her what my issues / concerns where. In this short time she has offered great insightful wisdom and guidance. I already referenced a friend of mine to her. You would be in good hands if Pam was your counselor.
