About Me

Hello!! My name is Nicole, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and my Masters in Science in Counseling Education from California State University, Sacramento. I have experiencing working with young children, adolescents, parents, and families. I have several years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families offering individual treatment for depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD symptoms, PTSD symptoms stemming from trauma, and anger and stress management. I also offered parenting workshops and support groups for parents coping with children with mental health and special needs. In addition, I also offered group therapy to children that focused on developing healthy relationships and social skills. I also have experience providing crisis management and prevention treatments including working with trauma, suicidal and homicidal ideations, and self harming behaviors.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is more of a goal-oriented treatment approach that tends to be more hands on and collaborative. I have also received additional coursework and training in Play therapy interventions. I am also comfortable offering interventions from Strength Based and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches. My job is to help your child be successful at targeting any problems that may be impacting them from reaching their goals and full potential. Being a parent myself, I understand how difficult it can be to see your child struggling. I want to work together with you and your child to help your child navigate and resolve these issues. I look forward to helping you and working together.

Nicole helped me more in the first few weeks than 2 months with another therapist. She has helped me break cycles of negative self talk, helped motivate me and helped me achieve my goals. She has also helped me find what stops me from losing weight- because I was stopping myself. Nicole has helped me so much. If you have OCD, anxiety and depression like me, Nicole is your best bet!
