I am a Marriage and Family therapist licensed in California. License number 97450. I think there are times we all experience some difficulties and challenges in our lives that may require some additional support. Teenage years are particularly difficult under the best of circumstances and may require more empowerment and coping skills. Maybe because it is a period that life presents some emotional difficulty, or there is an experience of depression, anxiety, or traumatic event, relationship issues, or a loss of some kind. It may also be the right time to work on one’s own personal growth. I would consider it a privilege and an honor to walk through this journey with you. I am very empathic, non-judgmental, warm, and ready to take your call whenever you are ready. I am a multilingual individual who has had the opportunity to live in different countries and work with many diverse populations. I also believe in honoring the uniqueness of each individual and his/her own story. I feel passionate about people and their own distinct narrative. I utilize a variety of theoretical approaches drawing from different theorists for the specific challenges faced by the individual/s. I have a great deal of experience working with victims, survivors, and offenders of domestic violence, and their families; victims, survivors, and offenders of sexual abuse (I have been CASOMB certified), survivors of childhood abuse, and problematic relationships with high conflicts. I offer psychotherapy for many other emotional difficulties as well as grief and loss.

My husband and I can't thank Nelly enough as she had brought positive changes in ourselves, our family and our relationship. Each session with her is filled with solid and helpful advice, laughter and new ways of looking at things. It has definitely had a great impact to our marriage and to our emotional health in general. Thank you very much Nelly.
Nelly is absolutely lovely. It was my first time in therapy and she made me feel comfortable right from the start. It was a great experience, she’s a wonderful listener and genuinely cares. Always available for you and encourages you to check in with her. I would definitely suggest her to anyone.
She equips you with tools to better your life.
Nelly is a fantastic listener and isn’t afraid to give “tough love” when needed. She has helped me navigate my newly diagnosed depression, and encouraged me to build a path to personal and professional growth.
She is very helpful and understanding towards my feelings, thoughts, and ideas. She told me many ways to cope with problems, and she helped me find ways to help myself when I won’t talk to others. Overall, she is a very helpful person, and she has made me feel better very fast, along with helping me find ways to feel better when I’m alone.
Wonderful and responsive. Very insightful and open to talking about anything and everything. Most of all, she doesn't mind if I spend some of our time venting. Nelly quickly identifies what is needed and delivers it in spades.
She is amazing. She is genuine, humble, patient. She has helped me a lot.
I am very happy with her. Great listener. She connects with you and your concerns. She follows up with text messages in between sessions with additional info and support.
Dr. Nelly is a living example of kindness and understanding, great listener and very supportive, she helped me change my negative way of thinking from the first session
Nelly is simply excellent! She’s always ready to listen and support me during therapy, and through messages during the week. I feel that she’s genuinely equipped and educated, also that she truly cares about my process. 100% recommended.
She is phenomenal. Always attentive and checks in almost daily even without me asking.
