About me

Hello, I want to acknowledge the courage it took for you to seek BetterHelp for your teen. It is great that you are taking action to help them work challenges, and they will come out better on the other side. Go you!

My name is Natasha Moore; I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina with over 20 years of experience working with children, teens, parents and young adults. I graduated with a Masters of Social Work degree and a certificate in Integrated Mental and Behavioral Health. I have an undergraduate degree in behavioral science with a focus on psychology and sociology. I have a plethora of experience working in different capacities, which helped me grow as a therapist over the past 6 years. My experience includes outpatient therapy, a homeless child shelter, foster and adoptive homes, birth family homes, child development centers and in the school settings. My passion is to help young people overcome adversity by empowering them with the tools needed to be successful in therapy and after. My education and experience focuses on helping survivors of trauma, along with neglect, abuse, abandonment, running away, self-harm, depression, self-esteem, ADHD, disruptive mood, anger management, anxiety, life /school transitions, improving relationships and physical health.

I have been praised on my calm demeanor-I am patient, optimistic, warm and open; you will be treated with respect and compassion. My approach combines evidence-based interventions of cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing and solution focused therapy. I truly believe that our thoughts determine how we feel and dictate our behaviors. Young people will receive education, learn coping strategies and problem solving techniques. I look forward to working together to create goals that are achievable and sustainable. I am ready to support and empower you on your journey.
