Hello, I am Nastasia Freeman. I am a licensed mental health counselor. I hold a master's degree in forensic psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and specialize in treating Anxiety, Trauma, Abuse, and Depression. I am experienced working in the school setting (high-school) working with teens age 14-19 as a clinical mental health counselor. I am also apart of the military community and understand life transitions and adjustment issues related the military and their impact on family members. I am passionate about individualizing online mental health counseling by applying a holistic approach to counseling. It is important that the treatment of mental health disorders reflect the whole person and their life experiences. Holistic mental health counseling assesses and treats psychological and mental disorders—as well as physical and spiritual contexts to promote overall wellness.
I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy to assist a client in healing. I have found that there are two elements that contribute to preventing us from living the most fulfilled life. These are current negative thoughts and emotions, and negative past experiences. It is important to resolve unresolved thoughts and emotions preventing one from living a fulfilled present life.
I provide counseling reflective and supportive of my client’s personal values, beliefs, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities, and abilities. I provide identity affirming and culturally responsive, mental health counseling.

Having Nastasia counseling my teenage daughter has been life-changing for her and for me. My daughter was never a fan of therapy, but with Nastasia, she can’t wait for her weekly session. Nastasia is spot-on on her assesments, very professional and goes above and beyond to be there for my girl, whenever she needs her. I’m so thankful to have found her. She’s a jewel and I highly recommend her!
Thank you for your promptness and compassion!
She has been very welcoming and supportive. The specific methods of therapy she has enacted for my therapy are very helpful for my specific issues and I enjoy speaking with her at every session.
It is still very early in my process with Nastasia, but she is someone that has my confidence that, going forward, we will do good work together.
