I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker with over 27 years of experience as a therapist, working with a diverse population, with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, grief and loss, communication problems, and trauma.
My experience in working with teenagers comes from both my personal experience as a parent, as well as, my experience working in the field with teenagers. The issues that teenagers face in today's ever changing society contribute to a variety of emotional challenges, ones that teenagers, and their parents, are often ill-equipped to handle. We have no manuals that come with each one of our children giving us specific instructions on how to parent them, and how to uniquely approach the child who is crying out, or acting out for help.
As your therapist, I work with the parent, as well as, the child, to identify the issues, the pitfalls, the strengths and to work with those strengths to determine the best direction to go in therapy. Working to alleviate conflicts, and create a better understanding of what the unmet needs are, can often contribute to healing, and resolution of parent-child conflict.

She was very helpful and helped a lot with my LGBTQ issues and gave useful information on how to deal with depression.
Monica is helpful, empathetic and supportive.
Monica is a very loving individual who has been very empathetic towards us and our circumstances. I can say I’ve never felt judged or unheard. She really tries to understand both of our point of views and remains neutral. I appreciate her professionalism and kindness.
Counceling with Monica Grey have been a great and most importantly very effective therapy experience. She managed to provide guidance towards improvement without any judgement and intrusiveness and assistance in recovery from negative emotional issues, allowing to keep my space and pace. If warm and encouraging approach is something that works well for you as well, I would highly recommend counceling with her.
Finding Monica here as my therapist has truly been a blessing! She’s helped me work through a lot in the little time we’ve worked together and I look forward to working with her for years to come. Monica always has a calming influence on me, she’s introduced me to many new ideas and coping techniques. She is patient, insightful, kind, and highly knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!
Monica helped me and my spouse to a great deal. Very patient and nice person. Asked the right questions and made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommended.
Monica was an excellent counselor. She does a great job listening while also not being afraid to give you perspectives to think about. She's the best counselor I've gotten on teen counseling. I highly recommend her!
Monica is very professional, patient and understanding. We only had 3 sessions with her but I already see a positive shift in our relationship with my husband.
She is the perfect mediator for couples counseling, understands the struggle and frustrations of both individuals. Does not take side, and asks really good and important questions in our sessions that get to the nuts a bolts of our discord.
