About Me

Hello and welcome. My name is Molly Duncan and I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California. Over the past five years, I have gained experience counseling clients with anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse, developmental disabilities, behavioral problems, and difficulty adjusting to life's changes. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP) that treats anxiety, depression, trauma and behavior problems. The focus of my career has been working with clients under the age of 18, and it is truly my passion.

To the teens: I believe that everyone is doing the best with the tools they have. Sometimes, you need an outside perspective, added support and some new tools to become the person you'd like to be. I'm not here to judge you or criticize you, but to problem-solve alongside you and cheer you on. My counseling style is warm and authentic, and we will often look at your thoughts and feelings and figure out how those are affecting the way you act. I know it can be scary to take this first step in asking for help, and you may have many questions about therapy which I am happy to answer. I applaud your courage and look forward to working with you!

Molly is fantastic. She is a great listener and helps you uncover the tools you need to start to feel better. My daughter was suffering from major anxiety through the pandemic and Molly was an empathetic soul who provided comfort and great support.

Molly is amazing at communicating. She’s a great listener and also knows exactly what to say! I’ve only been working with her for two weeks and she’s been a great help already. I’ve already recommended teen counseling to so many of my friends because of her.

Molly resounds quickly and with much understanding, validation, and expertise. In a short time, I have learned a lot and felt improvement with myself already. Highly recommended!
