I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, with seven years of experience of providing direct mental health and behavioral health counseling. I have worked with clients between the ages of 5 to adult, including teenagers, with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, anger issues, parenting problems, career challenges, trauma, self esteem, and ADHD. I have also worked extensively with children and adolescents, as well as their parents to reduce conflict and increase communication and understanding within the relationship.
My counseling style is warm, interactive, and validating. I believe in treating clients with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines Cognitive-Behavioral, Humanistic, Dialectical-Behavioral, and Gestalt theories to help guide our work together. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Together, we will set goals that you would like to work on, and I will discuss ways in which you can make changes.

Mija has provided me with the support and guidance that I struggled to find locally. She has been a great source of guidance and I know without her I wouldn't be in the position I am today. I feel comfortable speaking with Mija, and while our timezones have made it difficult to organise a video/phone call, she is always available through message and responds very quickly. Also the worksheets are a life saver! I didn't understand how important a simple worksheet would be but they're so helpful in many ways. She's done a lot for me and I would recommend Mija to anyone needing support and guidance as well as someone to talk to who will actually provide helpful advice.

I’ve been working with Mija for less than 3 weeks, but even in that short time I feel extremely comfortable and productive with her. Mija is very responsive in messaging, attentive and thought-provoking in conversation, and provides tools in between sessions that feed both my progress and our weekly conversations.
