About Me

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and have an online therapy practice as well as being the clinical manager at the juvenile detention center. I have been working with teens for 11 years in a variety of settings including an outpatient therapy, church, and residential. I have assisted my teen clients in a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol use, past trauma, anger management, and Illegal activity and suicidal ideation.

Being a teenager in 2019 is tough sometimes due to a lot of changes one might experience. Therapy is a great place to not only be able to talk to a therapist but also someone like myself who is a mother herself and has gone through the ups and downs with her own children when they were teenagers. I am here to help you learn more about yourself and develop coping skills and tools needed to assist yourself during stressful times.

I have really enjoyed working with my teen clients, as I find them very wise, honest, perceptive and are able to find humor in things that may currently may be tense and stressful. I also enjoy learning about the client’s family dynamics and how that may play a role in how the client perceives things in his world.

Michelle has such a way of helping my daughters open up and unlock feelings that were so deep inside they could not put words to them until Michelle helped them find the words. Not only did they name them, but they are working through these feelings authentically and are empowered because of looking at them directly. Michelle is the best!

Michelle is what a counselor should be. Listens carefully to your issues and then provides input and suggestions. Very easy to talk to and able to feel comfortable easily.

Michelle has been great in working with my wife and I. We are still in the beginning stages of trying to overcome some relationship challenges but Michelle has been a great help so far. Great listener, empathetic, gives us clear goals to work on.

Talking to Michelle feels like talking to a long lost friend. I couldn't have asked for a greater person to talk to. She checks in on me all the time and truly cares. She has got to be one of the greatest blessings of my life. In the short time we have talked, I have become so much closer to being back to the normal me than I ever thought possible.
