Melissa Hildebrand

About Me

I have been working as a Licensed Professional Counselor for the past 5 years in Tennessee. I welcome clients of all ages, in various walks of life, whether you are struggling with issues related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, trauma related to sexual assault, family conflict, etc. I am trained in various areas and theories and use an eclectic approach to best meet client needs and preferences.

One of my passions as a therapist is working with teenagers. There is a lot to navigate through with today's issues and technology and I enjoy walking alongside teens and helping them navigate those issues as well as learn more about themselves, their strengths, how to identify and find effective strategies for dealing with emotions, and how to find more efficient ways to communicate.

I will provide you with the emotionally-safe, non-judgmental place so you can release the burdens and emotional weights that you carry. If you are ready for this journey, I will help you discover the tools, healing, and peace that you are looking for through this collaborative, therapeutic relationship.

She is great! She is working with my 13 year old daughter and the change I have seen in her is amazing! She is much more open and interactive at home and school. The tools Melissa has given my child to deal with everyday stresses has been priceless

Melissa has been very helpful. After only 4 sessions thus far I feel like my life has changed and is turning in a better direction. All my life I've suffered low self esteem and low self worth stemming from traumatic experiences, but as my therapist, Melissa has shown me the real truth behind my low self worth and its been feeling like a light bulb goes off each time we have a session. Thank you Melissa and teen counseling for being so valuable.

Melissa has been a great help for me. Since the loss of my grandad, I started suffering with debilitating anxiety and depression. She helped me to get myself out of that hole by giving me helpful tools that I can use on my own and practice daily to ground myself and get back to who I was or discover who I am now. Melissa explained everything I had been going through thoroughly and made every symptom I was feeling make sense. She helped me immensely and I am so thankful for her.

Highly recommend Melissa Hildebrand. She listens, and then is able to summarize how you are feeling in a way that you understand yourself better. I've only had 2 sessions with her, and she has been able to pick up very fast on some things about me that are holding me back from my best self, and suggests what to work on in a way that is non-judgmental, supportive, and encouraging for exactly where you are at the moment. She has helped me to feel hopeful and excited about my personal journey in counseling. I can tell that I am going to grow a lot through the hard and even basic life things and wish I would have started this years ago.
