My name is Marjola Como and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I have been working the mental health field for the last 10 years providing individual counseling to adults, adolescents and children. I have worked in community centers as well as inpatient psychiatric hospitals. I have the most experience dealing with clinical depression, anxiety/ panic disorder as well as with adjustment disorders. I believe that EVERYONE needs some help and guidance at one point or another in our life.
I follow the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach in my therapy (CBH) sessions. CBT is an evidence based therapeutic approach and there have been many studies highlighting the efficacy of this approach. You can find most of the research on the internet if you are interested in more information. I can also answer any specific questions you might have during our sessions. I strongly believe that the most powerful tool in counseling is a strong and therapeutic rapport with my client. I strongly believe that an individualize approach, respect and empathy are the foundations of a sold therapeutic relationship. My sessions will always be conducted in a safe, organized and therapeutic environment.
Life can get stressful and erratic. We deal with losses of our loved ones, financial difficulties, relationship trouble, chaotic family dynamic and stressful jobs. Marjola is a great listener. After just a few weeks I feel that we have sorted through some difficult feelings and she has provided helpful tools to move forward.
