Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Marissa Raskin. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
Marissa is amazing. We have been on a bit of a journey finding a therapist for my 13YO daughter who's had significant struggles. After getting squeezed out of a few different places because logistics just didn't work, we found Marissa. At that point, of course, my daughter was tired of meeting new therapists "that never work." She was starting to just talk minimally with therapists or pushback on my scheduling appts.
Marissa picked up on this and moved slowly and comfortably to connect with my daughter. When my daughter bulked at an early session, Marissa somehow gave her space in a way that my daughter actually came back the next week, with trust, knowing that Marissa would respect her states of mind. When my daughter's doctor said she should do DBT (dialectic behavioral therapy), Marissa started incorporating that into my daughter's sessions. She was flexible schedule-wise (which we needed) and was willing to hear my side commentary through messages in the platform about specific life events or concerns my daughter was managing that she may not be saying in session.
Marissa is simply amazing. I'm so glad we found her. Highly highly recommend!
Marissa is just awesome! She is incredibly good at active listening, she seems to remember everything we say and is very good at connecting things and tying them together in a way that makes sense. She doesn't only listen, though, and actually offers extremely valuable feedback as well as validation. She provides worksheets and exercises that are quite helpful, and she's very communicative/available through messaging in between sessions. She is also very flexible in her scheduling, which has been extremely helpful for us. We felt at ease with her almost immediately, and she definitely makes you feel like she genuinely cares and is invested in your success and growth. 10/10 would recommend!
Marissa is a good therapist who has helped me gain a better understanding of my emotions and helps me process them better.
She helped me not be nervous the first time i went into a session and is very kind!
Marissa is incredibly kind and a great listener. She is very professional and knowledgable and I would absolutely recommend her.
Very helpful, proactive therapist, I appreciate that Marissa check in with us to see how we’re doing as the week goes on.
Hi, we are still going through therapy, but so far the experience has been helpful and rewarding.
Dr. Marissa is very patient and expresses warmth that encourages honesty, vulnerability and openness.
Marissa is wonderful. She is patient and understanding. She is very responsive and make it easy to speak to her. She comes up with great strategies and makes it feel less overwhelming whatever you are going through.
Listens realy well, and is very thoughtful about understanding differing circumstances
