About Me
Hello! Congratulations for taking the first step in thinking about entering therapy. Life can throw many curve balls and can be very challenging to even get through the day. Finding the right therapist is the key in developing a stronger YOU!
I am a licensed independent social worker in Ohio with over 25 years of experience. I have received my Masters in Social Work degree from University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Much of my work have been working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, parenting issues, relationship issues, LGBTQ identity. I also have experience working with many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. Most of my career has been working with teenagers with significant emotional issues.
My approach to therapy is to provide you a safe and warm place to share your story and to seek ways to help you develop tools to become a stronger YOU. I will be focusing on your strengths and experiences with empathy, compassion and understanding. Each client is unique and has their own story. My therapeutic approach includes cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and trauma-informed theories.
I am also fluent in American Sign Language as 2nd language. I have great knowledge in Deaf Culture and its own dynamics in this hearing world.
I look forward to working with you soon!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Margaret "Molly" Heit. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
We really like Molly a lot. We love the humor that she has while we navigate our relationship and she is really great at making both of us feel like we are seen and heard. She is also great at giving us things to do to help us in our specific situations. Definitely recommend Molly!!
So far my child enjoys their sessions.
While I have only a few sessions with Molly I find her to be in tune with my issues and provide helpful advice.
Molly is incredibly empathetic, kind and a great listener.
Molly is very helpful.
Molly is great and listens to my concerns
