Hi! I have been working with children & adolescents for 11 years, this population is my passion as I feel that their mental health is extremely important. Today, now more than ever, our youth are faced with extreme pressures and challenges and they shouldn't have to endure these struggles alone. It is essential that they are offered the support and skills needed to be in tune with their emotions and communicate their feelings and needs so that they can cope appropriately. Often times, I utilize a cognitive behavioral approach as our feelings are triggered by our thoughts. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy assists in becoming more aware of our thought process, and assists in greater self awareness, perspective, and the ability to practice a growth mindset which leads to increased emotional regulation.
