About Me

Welcome! I am so glad to see you. I have been working with all types of people and hope to work with you soon. I have worked with people of all ages from 6 to 98 over my 6 years of counseling. I graduated from Tarleton State University in Texas with my Masters in Science and received my Licensed in Professional Counseling. My strength and my preference is working with teenagers. I have helped teens struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, psychosis, sexual disorders, communication issues, anger management, family therapy, and the list continues. I am not bothered by any topic and listen with a non-judgmental ear. Past clients describe me as "sincere" and someone who "keeps it real" and " very honest".

I primarily work from a perspective of thoughts and choices, looking to empower my clients. I also love to work on mindfulness and working with YOUR own strengths. Most importantly, I work side by side with you to reach YOUR overall goals in YOUR counseling journey.

So, let's get started!

Although fairly new in our counseling journey I am very happy with Lori and really enjoy her as a person. She seems completely down to earth and like she can relate to the things that I am sharing with her. I look forward to seeing my growth during this process.

Lori had the ability to get to the root of my mental health concerns and help me work to solve them like no one else. I highly recommend her to anyone who appreciates honesty in exchange of progress.

I've met with a few therapists in my search for counseling but something just clicked with Lori. She immediately came across as warm and understanding and made me feel comfortable opening up to her fast. I really appreciate when she shares a little about her own personal experiences which helps me feel less crazy/alone for feeling and thinking things about my circumstances. She is very championing about how the things I'm struggling with today don't define me and helps to clarify this path that we'll work on together - this is so helpful when it comes to feeling like there is something we are working towards.
