About Me

I have been working with adolescents and parents in the school system for over 15 years as a school counselor, and have held my LPC license for over three years. I enjoy working with adolescents, helping them to work through their issues, ranging from underachieving to relationship conflict (and everything in between). I also enjoy working with adults, helping them to understand their roles as parents so that they are better able to help support their children in a positive, healthy manner.

My experience is with adolescents and young adult issues, including anxiety, grief, relationships, suicidal ideation, depression, anger, trauma and family conflict using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Techniques. Often those who are hurting need an empathetic ear, compassion and understanding as well as new coping skills. My goal is to help the hurting find joy and hope through talk and appropriate treatment so they can enjoy their life.
