About Me

Hi and welcome to BetterHelp. What a cool platform for treatment. My name is Lindsay Perrone and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts and Texas. I've worked at a children's hospital for the past six years with kids and teens who struggle with emotional or behavioral concerns. You guys live in a very difficult world with pressure coming from many different places: school, peers, parents, social media, and yourselves. Life can be really hard and it's no surprise that more and more teens are seeking out therapy. Please know that you are not alone in your struggles. I can promise you that.

The idea of therapy may sound a little scary. Please know that my role is to listen to you, support you, provide insight, and be your ally. Therapy is meant to be a safe space, meant for you and only you. I assure you that the first step is often the hardest, yet here you are. Good work. I look forward to talking more.

I reached out to teen counseling at a very low point, after a year of hefty losses and changes. I didn't know what to expect and anticipated some trial and error with finding a counselor. When BH paired me with Lindsay I could tell right away they had made a good match. Lindsay is friendly and disarming, genuine and attentive, and knows when to switch gears from being supportive to being gently challenging. Her humor gelled with mine, which helped take the edge off some of the more difficult issues on my plate. I am sad that she is transitioning her practice, but I'm grateful she was the one to help me round the corner on so many obstacles. I wish her the best!

Lindsay has been great to work with. My teen likes her and trusts her. It has been just what she needed to get through a difficult period of time. Lindsay is very responsive and checks in with both of us frequently.

Lindsay Perrone is an excellent listener and helped me with an issue that was bringing me down.

Lindsay is very down to earth and keeps our sessions very casual (which I asked for because the formal vibe makes me uncomfy.) She has been incredibly helpful in getting me through the processing of my current challenges and gives me goals to meet, which I appreciate! She’s spunky and sweet and very accommodating. Can’t recommend her enough!

Lindsay is highly empathetic and helps make connections to behaviors that I had missed. She is a great listener and asks great follow up questions.
