About Me

Prior to going full-time with BetterHelp, I spent my days in high schools providing mental health support to students and their families as part of our state’s school mental health program. The COVID years have brought so many changes! We all continue to have big hurdles to cross. It was a pleasure to be able to offer video sessions to students in their homes, with easier access for parents and guardians to join in when possible. Raising a family is not easy. Having a source for support and encouragement that can be simply accessed is extremely helpful.

Most clients arrive online for the first time not knowing where to start. It takes great courage to speak with a stranger about personal things. I wholeheartedly respect that. Basically, I will ask a million questions to get to know you, and tell you something about myself so you know me too and what this therapy process will be like. I’ll create a “Safety Plan” with you before the end of our first session so that hard days immediately become more manageable. I feel strongly that having a quiet space to reflect on our childhoods as we move into the myriad of choices of adulthood is a gift we give ourselves. We can just talk, or we can access what we call Evidence Based Practices which provide skills for managing one’s thoughts, emotions and behaviors. These are skills which last a lifetime, like the skill of reading I like to say. (None of us came into this world knowing how to read.) There are apps and online resources that complement what you’ll be learning. Therapy has become much more fun these days. I hope it’s something you will enjoy, even though I must warn you, it’s not so easy peasy. Change will take effort. I will honor your individual pace. Each person and their family life is so unique. That’s why I love my job so much. I look forward to meeting you!

To put it lightly, she was excellent. She helped get me through so much, from anxiety to gender dysphoria to suicidal thoughts. I cannot recommend her enough

Linda is extremely helpful and is a kind listener. She offers advice when needed and doesn’t push me to talk about anything I don’t want to. She’s a very wonderful therapist

For the time I have worked with Linda I have felt like my needs and my concerns were listened to way more than any in person therapy. Even when I'm alittle late to start the session I still have full attention and respect. Linda has talked to me about alot of important subjects and given me resources to calm my anxiety and be mindful. I haven't had to urgently tell her anything since a week ago and I used to tell her bad stuff that would happen everyday. I feel Linda has helped me understand my emotions better and see validation in them rather than be bothered.

I've only had a short time with Linda and she is not judgemental of me at all and that was my biggest worry about my specific problem. She does a wonderful job remembering small details I wouldn't expect. I will be staying with her as long as I can.

Linda was easily the best therapist that I’ve worked with through teen counseling. She was extremely responsive and always had some insight or helpful words. Although our time together was short(I am feeling confident and good enough to stop therapy at the moment) she was impactful. I would highly recommend teen counseling and Linda to anyone. She was nice, caring, thoughtful, listened really well, and just had a really nice soft presence. I would have been very pleased if I had to continue working with her, and definitely could tackle any situation with her help.
