Lauren Edgerton

About Me

As a licensed Mental Health Counselor, my focus is on getting to know each of my clients and their specific goals and/or challenges, in order to develop individualized plans to help them thrive. My personal life experiences have steered me towards the Therapy Specialties listed above. As a former Division 1 NCAA tennis athlete, I have first-hand insight into the challenges and pressures that come along with competing at the highest levels of sport . Likewise, my experience of losing a parent to cancer as an adolescent has left me with a passion for helping others that are experiencing and trying to process their own grief. Last but not least, my primary day job- counseling adolescents who are often dealing with the earliest stages of behavioral health challenges- leaves me well-suited to help teenagers and young adults with the sometimes scary task of working on their mental health. I too as an adolescent dealt with anxiety and with the help of a therapist, was able to find ways to cope as an adult. If you think that you could benefit from speaking with a counselor with any of these areas of expertise, I would be honored to work with you!
