I am a Licensed Psychologist in Maryland with a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I have over 10 years of experience working with youth and families with concerns including depression, anxiety, adjustment challenges, anger, family and parenting challenges, school difficulties, involvement in the justice system, as well as important life transitions. I also have helped design and evaluate a middle and high school social development curriculum for college and career planning, co-developed group therapy for children exposed to family violence, and trained service providers on working effectively with culturally diverse youth. My professional experiences in counseling, consulting, and research have focused on promoting holistic well-being and helping youth and families live out their purpose and potential. My counseling style is client-centered, supportive, and engaging, and I incorporate cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, family systems, and solution-focused approaches. My approach is grounded in trust, collaboration, and a deep appreciation and respect for clients’ multicultural experiences, identities, and perspectives. We will work together to discuss strengths and resources, identify and set goals, and collaboratively develop a tailored plan and tools to address your concerns and achieve your goals. I look forward to supporting and partnering with you in this process.
I appreciate your courage in taking this step. Thank you and be well!
