I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in this field for over 15 years. I have been working with teens, adolescents, and their families in various settings for over 20 years. I have a Masters Degree from Georgia State University and The Psychological Studies Institute. I have also garnered a Specialist degree from Georgia State University. I have worked in a multitude of settings and I am well prepared to help you with your specific needs. The counseling process is a safe place where you can grow in areas of your life and come to a greater sense of well-being over time. I come from an Adlerian and Cognitive Behavioral background. From our time together we will look at core thoughts and beliefs and beliefs that you have exhibited throughout your life. We will examine how these patterns have affected you in the past and how they are affecting you now. We will also process where these patterns may have come from and how they may have formed.
I want you to know that counseling is a process of self-discovery and you are the one in charge of the path that we go. I will be a guide assisting you along this path and encouraging you to push deeper so that you can reach the goals that you have stated. The pace will be up to you but be reminded that you will get out what you are willing to put into the process. I truly do look forward to working with you on this journey and speaking to you in future sessions.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
LPC #LPC004960 (Expires: 2022-09-30)
I had been skeptical about the benefits of counseling for years, and instead read books and talked to trusted friends about issues I was dealing with. But counseling is already helping me so much more. Kwesi helped me see something I had been overlooking, and he supported me right away, and helped me gain better insight into my situation and therefore empower me at the very first visit.
Kwesi Franco demonstrates sensitivity when talking, and he's ready to listen and help one find useful and productive solutions for self care and communication.
Kwesi has been a great counselor for us. He is extremely caring, a great listener, and has a huge array of tools that are extremely valuable in learning to understand one's own behavior as well as someone else's. In the short amount of time that we've worked with Kwesi, we've grown a lot as couple, and as people, and also have become more aware of the places we need to grow, and how we might work to get there. I would recommend that anyone looking for someone easy to talk to, who would definitely have some great feedback, to seek the guidance of Kwesi.
Kwesi was the first therapist I’ve ever worked with. I lucked out - big time! He strikes a perfect balance between listening and providing advice, is thoughtful, understanding, and intelligent about the issues I’m facing, and approaches counseling with wholistic approach. I would recommend Kwesi to anyone.
Dr. Franco is compassionate and sincere. He doesn’t just tell you things, he guides you. He shares active tasks to overcome hurdles. I’m grateful to be working with him.
