About Me
First of all, I am really glad you found your way here. It takes courage and strength to seek out support and to ask for help. You are in a great place to begin this journey.
We all go through ups and downs throughout life. There is beauty and there is pain. There are times we all need a little support to get through the tougher times. Having someone non-judgmental and unbiased to talk to can be the key to unlocking what is already inside you, waiting to be discovered.
When I think about why I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist over 13 years ago, I remember having a strong desire to walk alongside other human beings as they overcome obstacles and unlock their full potential. I have been privileged to working with families, couples, individuals, parents, children ages 0-18 and their parents, and adults. Areas I have helped people address include, but are not limited to: parenting issues, pre-natal mental health and peri-natal mental health, teen pregnancy, foster care, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, challenges stemming from family of origin, domestic violence, women's issues, sexual assault, relationship issues, life stage challenges, attention and focus challenges, challenges related to Autism, work/life balance, anxiety, depression, stress, chronic illness, social challenges, conflict resolution, communication struggles. I have a background in child development and family relations, human development and have worked in daycare settings, foster care, school settings, and with those who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities.
My goals are to meet you where you are, listen to you, and to understand what you and your child are wanting to accomplish from our time together. I utilize several models of therapy that include Solution-Focused Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I believe that we all have what we need to accomplish our goals and that there is hope. I have spent a lot of time learning about trauma and traumatic experiences and how they impact us. I am a rostered Child-Parent Psychotherapy provider and have also been trained in SITCAP Art and I Feel Better Now, which are used to help children process through scary or dangerous experiences. We will work together to determine what your goals are and identify what fits best for you and your child so that you are able to achieve the goals you set.
I hope you will consider taking this next step in your journey, and I would be happy to join you and your family!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Kasey Saunders. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
Kasey has helped me in so many ways. I don't think I could list them all here. She is one of the best mental health professionals I have ever had! She is attentive, kind, respectful, inquisitive, thoughtful, and has a great sense of humor. My life has been much better since I started seeing her for treatment. Kasey truly changes her clients for the better!
Kasey was great - she put in extra time for me, was consistent and provided me with some useful tools and building blocks.
Amazing therapist. Super sweet and super nice. Very direct and gets down to the problem.
Kasey is amazing, and my daughter loves her. She is definitely a special therapist and deserves tons of kudos.
Kasey is wonderful! Very supportive and empathic. I really appreciate her! She is helping me through a very difficult time.
Is always easy to communicate with Kasey. She cares of my daughter and me; she was very professional and concern if we missed a session. I recommend her and this program teen counseling
Ms. Saunders is fantastic in providing guidance and great advice along the way during a most difficult life experience. Her support has been so meaningful to me and I truly don’t know what I would have done without the reliable encouragement and professionalism she has provided.
Kasey has been amazing! I only worked with her for a few months and have never had a therapist before but within those short months I have been given the right tools needed to manage my anxiety! I have seen so much growth within myself since our first session thanks to Kasey and once I am able to afford therapy again I plan on continuing sessions with her!
Kasey is so wonderful to work with. She listens to me and brings in relevant questions and tips in ways I can understand. It's nice to be able to talk through my fears, anxieties, and depression with her. I always come away feeling better.
She's amazing
Kasey is very helpful and is an amazing listener. I feel understood and heard when talking with her. She has given me a lot of useful resources and helps me to see other people’s perspectives, and she has guided me as I reframe my negative thoughts & deal with conflicts in my life. I feel like my general mood has improved a lot since I started working with her.
She’s great! I love going to therapy!
I did not come to teencounseling.com to excavate my past, I came to deal with current anxieties and stressors. Ms Saunders has been responsive to my wanting 'change in the present'. I enjoy my sessions with her. She is compassionate and thoughtful. She is also practical and gives me concrete, realistic suggestions and ideas to work with.
For the short time I’ve experienced teencounseling.com, Kasey has been amazing during my journey of therapy. She is dedicated in supporting me and guiding me through becoming a person individual. Highly recommend.
Though I've only had 2 sessions, I'm having a positive experience and felt much more momentum after the second session (compared to the preliminary nature of the first one). Looking forward to the next 2.
