About Me

I provide individualized counseling for children, adolescences, and adults experiencing Anxiety, Depressions as well as being influenced by thoughts and/or actions leading to self-harm and potentiallysuicidal ideation. I also work extremely well with families and couples helping to develop effective support, identify goals, and processing family challenges as they arise. Primary, my techniques when working with individuals as well as within a family system is using an integrated approach, combining both Solution Focused Therapy with Cognitive-Behavioral techniques such as play therapy and positive reinforcement. These approaches help to rebuild an individual’s and families foundation, setting them up for success, not only today, but also in the future. Instead of putting a Band-Aid on the present, I believe that with Cognitive-Behavioral techniques, we can protect ourselves from future hardship by learning and using these preventative therapeutic skills.

Justin has connected with my daughter in a very short time and she seems to be participating, which is a first for her and therapist.

Justin has helped me tremendously during our time working together. He is very open and direct which I value. I’ve been able to set major boundaries in my life that would probably still be unchecked to this day without the guidance I’ve received from Justin. I am very happy to have him to talk through life with and I highly recommend him to anyone who’s interested in changing their life.

Sessions with Justin were beneficial in helping my daughter with anxiety and depression but the inconsistency in service had a negative impact. Missed appointments and rescheduling of appointments did not allow for effective and consistent treatment. Also, not an affordable option given we are charged weekly even when appointments did not occur.

Justin is really great. He is very easy to talk to and comes up with concrete and practical plans for improvement, which I greatly appreciated. He is very understanding and will sometimes share his own personal experiences at the right times. I found talking with him very helpful and gave me some great insights into my issues.

I don't have a whole lot of experience in therapy but i do have a lot of experience with medical professionals across the board. I've come to find that there are the knowledgeable ones, and the ones who care. While i don't think these 2 qualities are mutually exclusive, I've found that a person who posseses both is quite rare. Justin is that rare person. He is both knowledgeable and he very much cares for you as a person/patient. There is something to be said about someone who cares enough to check in on you throughout the week. I feel incredibly lucky that I gave therapy another chance and was matched with him
