About Me

I am so glad you are seeking help and support at this time in your life. This is an important time in development and there are a lot of things going, a lot of pressure and stress that you may under which can be contributing to how you are functioning. Everyone needs help as some point in life and it take courage and bravery to ask for help.
I know you have both.

I'm sure by now you've asked yourself if you're doing the right thing by seeking help and doing etherapy. If you made it this far I can assure you that you've made a healthy decision for your life and one that is important for your emotional health and well being and the others around you. It takes strength and courage, both of which you possess in order to start this journey.

My counseling style includes Cognitive Behavior Therapy to help make the connection between behaviors, thoughts and feelings to gain a better understanding of how you are a functioning in life. I also incorporate some mindfulness including progressive muscle relaxation, deep-breathing and imagery that can ultimately improve your quality of life. I would describe myself as empathic, non-judgmental, supportive and honest. I believe that everyone has the ability to explore what is healthy for them and knows innately what will help them grow, they just may need guidance and support to see that through.

I have been doing therapy for 17 years with both adults and children. I have been able to provide a lot of treatment and support to people with a range of mental health issues. My specialties include self-injury, anxiety, trauma and abuse, self-esteem. I also have experience in understanding family of origin issues, grief and loss, bi-polar disorder and depression.

I love how Julie makes you feel that your thoughts are always valid. She also ask questions to help you get to the bottom of your feelings. That’s what every great councilor should do. I am very happy I found her.
