Jessica Van Leer is an Arizona State Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She specializes in providing warm and inclusive therapy for teens and young adults. Jessica provides counseling services from an eclectic point of view and often uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to provide services based on individual needs. She often views issues presented in session from a family/community centered approach and will encourage client’s to use supports in the community and at home to use developed skills to improve their overall wellbeing and will increase communication with natural supports.
Jessica graduated with her Masters in Counseling from Arizona State University and has worked in a variety of settings. She worked for an substance use adolescent intensive outpatient program and has counseled teens and their families since 2016. She has experience in teaching and has a thorough understanding of the educational system in Arizona. She has been influential in making sure her clients receive appropriate educational services. Jessica has experience working with diverse populations and specializes in clients who struggle with substance use, anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicidal thoughts and ideation. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
