About me
Hi there! I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts with more than ten years of experience. I have specialized in working with clients who are coping with the challenges related to having complex medical needs or diagnoses (personally or familial). I have worked with diverse populations in health care, inpatient, outpatient, and home-based treatment settings. Mental health issues in which I have experience supporting include; adjustment, anxiety, bereavement, chronic illness, coping, & depression.
I am passionate about equality and human rights. I believe that everyone has the right to enjoy their ideal quality of life. I engage clients by providing a safe space to share whatever has brought them to seek counseling support. I empower clients to participate in problem solving their own challenging situations with the goal of creating a skill set for them to recall after our therapeutic relationship ends.
My ultimate goal is to help clients recognize their unique strengths and to support them in achieving their goals and overcoming challenges along the way. Adolescence is the perfect age to engage in counseling support as it shapes so much of what comes next. Counseling can provide a safe space for teens to express themselves and the confidence to share that with their world going forward.
This has been a challenging year for so many and the need for mental health support is significant. I would love to meet you to see if we might be a good fit in working through whatever brings you to seek additional support.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Jessica McCaig. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
Been with her for almost a year and she is amazing and actually gives great advice and listens.
Jessica is the best therapist I've ever had. She listens, empathizes and offers ways to think about things that are helpful.
A great listener knows and what she’s talking about and very friendly.
Talking to Jessica is like talking to a friend who knows and understands your situations like you’ve went over them plenty of times before. I really like and appreciate that though her professional appearance and way of working is precise, she’s very easy to open up to and she is very compassionate to understand you.
Jessica has been an excellent listener, and she provides excellent feedback. Her reassurance and ideas for action items I can take have been really helpful.
Jessica was really welcoming and open towards my needs. I felt very comfortable with her, for sure. She is very solution focused and offers some great insight
Jessica has been a wonderful for both my daughter and her anxiety and my husband and I in supporting her. She has been available for all of us to ask questions, talk through options and give us tools to use in the future.
Jessica is a fantastic counselor! I definitely have a bit of an alternative lifestyle and she is completely supportive and non-judgemental. She really is there to help, and I always feel better after our sessions. She is very responsive during the week outside of sessions as well.
