Jessica Hernandez Benavidez

About Me

I enjoy working with adolescents, and families. I enjoy working with families as a whole to find solutions to problems that arise. Working with the family system to help them utilize their strengths to bring positive changes as individuals and as a family unit. I have a background working with people who have experienced traumas and crisis to help them heal in a therapeutic setting. My primary areas of focus includes trauma, child abuse, depression, grief, anxiety, alcohol/drug abuse, and domestic violence.
I have had training in Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also incorporate other modalities to meet the clients needs. I have experience working with the DFPS and Bexar County Court system.
I want to provide the clients with a safe place to discuss their difficulties and help them heal. My goal is to help them learn to cope with difficulties in healthier ways, while working towards their own individual goals in therapy.
