About Me

I am licensed in Wisconsin with 22 years of professional work experience. About half of my experience has been working with teens. My philosophy of counseling is based on the belief that the client is the expert and has the power to elicit change, and I am a guide in your journey. I employ techniques coming from a Strengths Based Perspective, Positive Psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy to challenge the internal thinking process and encourage positive change. Mindfulness-based interventions and solution-focused techniques may also be used to enhance functioning and guide the process. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, & depression. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you.
