About me
Hi, I am a licensed professional counselor and substance abuse counselor in the state of Arizona. I am also a Rostered Child Parent Psychotherapist which means I am trained to help those who have experienced trauma, grief and/or loss. I also have experience with depression, anxiety, motivation, self-esteem issues and behavioral problems. I worked in a non profit where I provided individual and family therapy as well as group sessions with various age groups. These services helped these kids navigate hurdles such as: academic issues, social struggles, anxieties, depression, peer pressure, insecurities and most importantly we helped strengthen the child/parent relationship.
I have been described as patient and compassionate yet direct. I approach most therapy sessions from a cognitive behavioral approach unless there is some history of trauma, then I use a trauma focused treatment modality. I allow the client's need to direct how our session goes. With adolescents there has to be a buy in or there will be cooperation. I aim to help the client see their role in the situation they are in and the ultimately have the power to change their current situation.
I look forward to working with you,
Jennifer

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Jennifer Enders. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
Jennifer's exceptional ability to pinpoint the challenges I face has been invaluable in my journey of self-improvement. Her insightful and motivating feedback has inspired me to delve deeper into my own reflection, empowering me to recognize the transformative steps I need to take.
She is excellent at teaching. I came here hoping to learn some skills for managing emotions and responding better to situations. I learned more in just three weeks than I expected to learn at all. I feel like I have been able to grasp what she is saying and actually put it into practice.
The first time I spoke with Dr. Enders I felt at ease, which made opening up in communication much easier.
Jen is amazing, and I continue to talk to her because she is a great listener and gives pertinent advice. You can tell she cares and is knowledgeable.
Jennifer Enders is kind, compassionate, and is the best of the many therapists I have worked with throughout the years. I highly recommend her!
Jennifer is amazing! She's flexible and works with you to build a plan. She's interactive and supportive and doesn't just shove self help books down your throat. Love her!
Jennifer was amazing. She truly helped me through a tough time! Excellent help and full of encouragement and valuable tips to get back on track. I was able to implement her suggestions and my life is for the better.
Jen is fantastic and sessions with her are the ideal balance of her listening and providing feedback. She is thoughtful and kind and has provided me with great insights and advice. She is very responsive and flexible with scheduling.
Jen clearly communicates when she won't be available well in advance and demonstrates the perfect equilibrium of accommodation and boundary setting. I struggle with boundary setting myself, and love seeing healthy boundaries laid out in such a kind and communicative way. She models how I'd like to treat others as that is exactly how I like to be treated.
Throughout our therapy relationship Jen has been incredibly helpful as I've worked on several challenges and areas I look to improve on. She continues to provide judgement-free advice and seems to tailor her suggestions based on what she knows about me and my personality.
I believe she would be an excellent fit for therapy veterans, like myself, ready to dive in, as well as those new to therapy/those unsure about its efficacy.
Jen is a great asset and I look forward to more personal growth and her invaluable support as we continue to work together.
She has been an amazing help to me, through an extremely difficult period in my life. I can’t recommend her enough!
I am very happy working with Jennifer. She has been 100% there more than I would have expected. All of her resources are greatly appreciated and used in the best way I know how. I am grateful to have the support from Jennifer.
Jennifer has been amazing. She is very responsive and has been wonderful to work with. I feel I am already making strides forward
Thank you
Jennifer is amazing. Listens, assigns homework to keep you motivated and checks in. Making great progress with her.
Jennifer is extremely thoughtful when it comes to listening and responding to issues. She is caring and provides the right amount of support and validation in troubling times.
I’ve enjoyed it so far!
I thoroughly enjoy that I can text my therapist whenever I want to and she always has a supportive thought or thought provoking question along with relevant resources at times. It feels casual but helps keep me accountable with my goals throughout every day - not just on session days.
Jennifer is very easy to talk to and I look forward to our sessions each week. She also sends me a lot of materials to work with in between sessions and she is quick to answer back when I send her messages.
I really enjoy having Jennifer as my therapist. She is very respectful and professional, she helps keep me on track by setting goals and stay focused rather than rant and ramble for an hour. She gives insight but is very careful and sweet to not impose her thoughts or ideas. She also responds quickly and is very communicative.
Jennifer is particularly skilled at being both professional and personal. She also never comes from a standpoint of knowing more about a subject than me. She learns with me and that makes it seem like we have equal footing. I've gained a lot of knowledge from her and hope others that work with her with benefit as much as I have.
She is very good, understanding, I am so glad I feel better.
She is very good at what she does and so far is helping me very much.
Jennifer is is always quick to respond. I feel she truly has the best interest for my teen. My daughter is happier and is finding new ways to move through life in a less stressed, more involved way. It's a great feeling knowing my teen is getting the help she needs. Thank you Jennifer!
