Hello and welcome.
Allow me to share with you a little bit about my experience and how I approach therapy. I have five years of experience working as a therapist with teens, adults, couples and families. The past two years have been focused on child, adolescents and teens. Helping them manage their thoughts and emotions in a healthy way that improves their experience in the world. I’ve worked with clients who were worried, anxious, grieving, feeling lost, sad, struggled with self worth, intrusive thoughts, addiction, relationships and anger management. I’ve also helped coach people on how to reach goals, find what direction they wanted to go in and create a deeper sense of meaning and purpose in their life.
I’m always willing to find the style or technique that will be the most helpful for my clients but here are style I use the most.
Client centered- letting you guide us to what you feel needs to be addressed and working on that together.
Solution focused – building self esteem by setting and achieving goals and knowing your self worth.
CBT- becoming more aware of your thoughts and what you can do to change them.
Some of the techniques I’ve used in the past are journaling, art, guided meditations, dream analysis, mindfulness practices, somatic exercises (I don’t mean going to the gym, but that could be helpful) and role-play.
My goal is to help you find your way through whatever it is you’re going through and to develop tools and skills that you can use for the rest of your life. If this sounds like something that would be helpful for you I look forward to hearing from you.

This has been my first counselling experience - and I admit that I came into it with low expectations, but a whole bag of issues surrounding separation from my significant other and the anti social blame I have placed on others for this separation. I can say that, after a month of working with Jared, he has helped me understand that my negative emotional responses to society are habitual more than rational, and that it is up to me to choose how I react to situations. I'm optimistic this perspective on my self will help me avoid defaulting to negative reactions. Jared's energy is unwaveringly warm and selfless, his intelligence acute, and his methods deliberate and effective. He is not only helping me deal with my issues, but has elevated my perspective on the usefulness of counselling generally. Can't recommend enough.
Jared is very considerate, knowing I am a new patient to him, he would make an one hour slot available to me. He pays attention to my thoughts and offer me useful feedback.
Very good questions in response to my ranting. Professional and trustworthy feeling kind of experience with Jared.
Jared has been very helpful during this difficult time of pandemic and isolation for our teen. He has been responsive and professional, a good listener and very supportive, and we thank him for it.
Jared is wonderful
We really liked Jared's insights and gained a lot of new ideas for ways to bond and support each other.
It's been a lot of help I feel I'm getting professional help and he's helping me simply things I need to talk about
I feel Jared Maloney is a great Therapist. Would highly recommend him to anyone , in need of a therapist.
I think that Jared is an excellent therapist who actively listens to his clients and makes an effort to learn how to teen counseling them. I am confident that he is an understanding individual who looks out for my best interests when it comes to therapy.
Jared listens and what I like the most doesn’t tell me what I want to hear. Growth isn’t easy, but he has helped to lessen the pain.
He is just very easy to talk to and is easy to understand. He also seems to be a very good strategist .
Jared is absolutely wonderful and I feel so lucky to have found him. He helped me through a very difficult time in my life and I always felt very supported and heard. He helped me navigate these challenges in a productive and healing way. I’m so grateful. I would recommend him to anyone!
Jared is an awesome therapist. He really is great at having clear communication. He listens, understands and gets to the root.
He is great! Listens really well and gives you good feedback.
We strongly agree that Jared was great. Thank you.
I have been so pleased with how teen counseling paired me with Jared Maloney! He takes the time to explain things and guide me in a better direction I have been telling everyone to take the time to invest in themselves and learn the tools to have a better handle on life!
I have been working with Jared for about a month. He’s amazing. He’s kind, attentive, responsive, and genuine. Battling major depressive disorder, I haven’t had relief in years. I’m exited for what’s to come.
My experience with Jared Maloney has been very pleasant. He is concious of how I may benefit from his guidance but allows me to guide myself where I need to be the most at a given time. His guidance is offered in a manner that isn't overpowering, allowing me the opportunity to feel freedom of choice regarding the path of healing that best suits my needs.
Our sessions provide me with the chance to feel validation for my strengths yet afford me invitations for growth. He is able to intuitively know what it is that I am requiring to motivate healing within.
A truly wonderful, thoughtful and humble man that is willing to help.
Jared has been amazing to give guidance and reflection into a time in my life that I felt very unprepared for. The ability to chat ,voice, video and collaborate on ways to improve my viewpoint on the situation has been foundational in my mindset, health and wellbeing. Thank you!
