About Me

Hi I'm Jane Miclon. I am a licensed Clinical Social with 30 years of experience working with adolescents and families. I attended the University of Connecticut receiving a Master's degree in Social Work. My experience has been in schools, mental health clinics, hospitals and adoption agency. My vast experience has been working with teens who are struggling with life changes, depression/anxiety, school issues, relationship problems etc. I've worked for 20 years in schools helping students gain the skills to be more successful, which covers academic concerns, mental health, and relationships (including family issues). I understand how incredibly complicated our educational systems are and the needed advocacy and guidance to resolve them. I fully assess situations to work with each client effectively. Building a positive rapport with trust and respect is very important to me. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution focused and strength based approach.

She's very nice, understanding, and non judgemental. She really sits there and listens to you and conversates with you like any other friend but also has very insightful feedback . Literally after every session, I feel 10x better. Not just because I had an hour long venting session but because I feel like I'm receiving the tools to be better which btw you can definitely count on receiving applicable worksheets to look over and work on for the next session.
