About me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist currently residing in Seattle, WA. I earned my doctoral degree from the University of Vermont in beautiful Burlington and continued my advanced training in Denver, CO, and Salt Lake City, UT. My training has focused on working with children and teenagers struggling with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and adjustment to disability. I also have experience providing services in a wide range of practice settings including community mental health, private practice, adolescent psychiatric units, and inpatient and outpatient hospital clinics.

My therapy style is rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy and branches out to other evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Parent Management Training, and Family Systems. I create custom and flexible treatment plans for every individual in an effort to provide the best type of care; I believe that there is no single approach that works for everyone. It is very important to me that every person feels accepted and respected throughout our work together, and this is particularly important for children and teenagers!

Quyen has such a gentle way of listening and responding. I felt validated from the get-go and appreciate the careful way he chooses his questions. He made the intimidating concept of therapy a very positive experience and I look forward to our sessions.

I sought out Quyen's expertise when I found the stressors at work were seeping into my personal life and straining my interpersonal relationships. He has really helped me navigate my emotions and provided me with resources to better manage work-related stress. He's very personable, listens, and does a fantastic job distilling complex academic frameworks into digestible actionable steps.

Since speaking with Quyen I have felt significantly more assured and confident in my decisions and have a higher resiliency toward work-related stress. I would highly recommend Quyen to anyone seeking help managing stress.
