My name is Helen Jackson Bleicher and I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner in Nebraska, a Licensed mental health counselor in Iowa, and a registered play therapist. I earned my master’s degree in counseling from University of Nebraska at Omaha, and my play therapy certificate from Kansas City play therapy school. My experience includes working in an inpatient hospital, Private Practice, as well as a therapist in a residential shelter for children. I have worked in Hospice and a grief support center. I earned my Master’s in Organizational Leadership degree from the College of Saint Mary’s in Omaha, NE and my Yoga Teacher Certificate at Pranam Yoga Shala in Omaha, and these degrees help me to balance my therapy practice. I have a certification in Life Coaching from Tony Gaskins Academy.
I would describe my approach as empathetic, goal oriented, and client centered. In a safe, respectful, and responsive manner, I provide counseling services to children, teens, and young adults. My counseling services support individuals through challenging times that occur throughout their lives by providing a means to positively cope, to adapt and to learn from these times. Ultimately, my wish is for individuals to move forward with their lives and to regain a sense of hope for their futures. This is accomplished by using a variety of techniques; mainly reinforcing positive thought patterns, applying constructive coping outlets; as well as incorporating Play Therapy techniques and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) techniques.

I met Helen during the one of the most difficult times in my life. She advocated for me, demonstrated a great desire to help and checked on me regularly as I can have a tendency to withdraw. She helped me make sense of my feelings and provided exceptional and practical advice to help me navigated family situations that were really tough. Her no nonsense approach is exactly what I needed at that time in my life. I value my work with her and hope to continue long into the future.
I have had an above exceptional experience with Helen! She is outstanding. She knew immediately what I needed and gave me hope after our first session. She holds me accountable and pushes me while also being supportive. She gives me resources that are applicable to what I need. I can say with 100 percent certainty that Helen has changed my life, and I can't wait to see where I end up when I'm done with therapy.
Helen has been exactly what I needed when I didn't even know that I needed it. I have had many other counselors that were helpful but did not push me to the next step in healing like Helen has. Not only does she provide a comforting ear to talk to, she provides resources and skills to apply to your life to really see change. I could not recommend Helen more.
Helen has been a wonderful person to confide in. She is a wonderful listener, friendly face, and respectful of my needs and wants as a patient. She constantly pushes me to be my best and I have loved her accessibility and expertise that she provides all week long!
Helen is doing a wonderful job helping my daughter and helping me understand my daughter
Helen was superb - she really helped Meg when she was first in a very dark time. We were thrilled to work with her.
