Hello! My name is Erin Thomas and I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) in the state of Nebraska. I received my Master's Degree in the beautiful state of Montana at Montana State University-Billings. My husband and 3 little kids are the most important thing in my life so when my husband got a job in Nebraska, off we went to the Midwest. We love it here in Nebraska. We love to travel, swim, play any kind of sport, laugh, and just be together.
I have been in private counseling for 4 years and love helping and getting to know so many wonderful people. I have also done a number of presentations for large groups concerning mental health issues. I have experience in counseling anxiety, depression, PTSD, family and marital relations, obsessive compulsive disorder, etc. I have also worked with the foster care system in helping re-unite families and teaching parenting techniques and solutions.
I first realized I enjoyed counseling while working as a youth counselor as college student for a summer job. I loved being with those 14-18 year old boys and girls week in and week out all summer long. I saw a depth and a beauty to this age group that I fell in love with. I love teenagers and I love getting to know them. I also believe in providing tools to help the family relationship as a whole. There are few things harder than not knowing what is happening in your child's life. Throughout my counseling I encourage youth to work on assignments and talk to their parents about what they are doing and what they are learning. My hope is to not only work with the youth but to help the whole family. Life can be hard and I believe we all need some help from time to time. There is no "one-size-fits-all" in the counseling world but together I believe we can work towards the best possible outcome.

Erin has been fantastic! I’ve recommended teen counseling to many of my friends.
Erin is a wonderful counselor. She is a great listener and also gives me a lot of helpful perspective. It has been challenging for me to meet with her but challenging in a really, really positive way. I have been able to take a step back and rethink some of the narratives of my life. It’s been so refreshing and so helpful!
Erin is AWESOME. She is massively understanding and makes me feel so comfortable in talking with her. I can be honest and straightforward with her, ALWAYS. She isn’t won’t ever judge me but she always holds me accountable.
Erin is amazing and I feel more hopeful about the future after every session.
I have around 15 years of college education and Erin absolutely blows me away with how helpful she is for me, every single session. I haven't worked with her for a few months but this first session was still somehow so thorough, like scratching five deep itches all at once. She's amazing!
I've only been working with Erin for a couple of weeks, and I can say she has been the best therapist I have ever seen. Erin started off our sessions by getting to know me and my goals, and we developed an actionable plan from there. She's been super helpful at getting me to open up and also provides great articles and activities.
Erin is an amazing therapist. She has helped me significantly and she's very well prepared all of the time.
Erin so far has been great and I'm happy I made the decision to try out counseling. It's still very early for me to have specific feedback though.
Erin has been so helpful, relatable and a wonderful source of knowledge.
Erin is awesome, and I am glad she has a sports background!
She has been very helpful and kind. She has been able to help me see some of my problems differently.
Erin is a comforting person to talk to. She makes my whole experience to be overall more impactful. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Erin is a very friendly and informative counselor who I always felt I was safe talking to. I highly recommend her!
She is super nice and friendly. She is easy to talk to and likes to explore different options and methods to see which work best.
Erin has connected well with our teen and is great at communicating. The ease of this telehealth service is amazing.
Erin is a wonderful person and advocate for me. I recommend her and all other dedicated therapist to anyone looking for a little help in life.
Erin is a great and understanding counselor. She always has great exercises/worksheets to work through and helps work through thought processes of why things are or why you react in a certain way.
Erin is awesome. Her advice has been spot-on in helping me to rediscover my desires and work through fears and issues holding me back in my relationship.
Erin does a great job and sends relevant articles and worksheets to help understand your thoughts and how to improve the way you are feeling.
I had never heard of online counseling, so was hesitant to finally take the plunge, but I am so grateful that I did.
Erin has been tremendous in helping me dive into some of the challenges in my past, and overcoming them. Not only has she helped me get past some of those emotional hang-ups I was having trouble with, our discussions have helped me grow more as an individual, and strengthened my marriage. I am grateful for her help over the past few weeks!
Erin is so understanding and always makes me feel better when I talk to her. She has given me some great tools, exercises, and advice for dealing with my situation. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs help in their life or someone to talk to.
I have already shared with a lot of friends how great things have gone. In only a few weeks of counseling, it has made a huge difference. Today I had a friend say she sees that I am happier. I am so thankful we decided to do this together.
Erin is a very compassionate counselor. Always has a listening ear, but also ready to give advice and wisdom. I’ve never been to a counselor, but I was so glad to experience it with Erin. I always felt like whenever she was giving me advice it was always coming from God, there’s a couple of things that she has told me that has actually helped my view on how I look at things. Erin is a wonderful counselor and I’d recommend her to anyone!
Erin has been so helpful with my anxiety! She’s given me tools and methods of calming myself down, and she’s always made me feel like I’m not crazy and what I’m feeling is normal. I really enjoyed talking to her, and she always made me feel like she cares about my well-being.
She’s amazing and willing to work with you about any of your problems. I’m glad I got to be one of her patients, even if it was only for a few months.
She is a very exceptional counselor. She listens to my concerns and tries to help to develop different coping methods for me to use. She also is a great listener. If I don’t want help or advice right away, and just need to vent because I don’t have anyone else to talk to, she listens and respects my feelings. We end up talking about what was bothering me, but only when I’m ready to do so. Overall, she is very supportive. When I told her I couldn’t afford the service anymore, and decided to go through insurance, she offered to help me find a therapist in my area to see.
I have nothing but good things to say about Erin. She is an excellent counselor; supportive, friendly, and thoughtful.
Erin is a very kind and intelligent professional. She’s extremely helpful and sincere in her actions and ways to help. It’s been very nice to have someone who is so motivated to help and follows through with more to back you up.
