I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor. I went to school at Our Lady of the Lake University and Texas A&M University at San Antonio. I am both a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern in Texas. I have 7 years of experience in education, hospital, agency, and secure settings. I support individuals and families using a solution-focused, strengths-based approach, and believe we all have the capacity to create and sustain positive change within themselves. My therapeutic approach is holistic, compassionate and client-centered, always meeting others where they are at. I recognize the importance of the connection between the physical body and inner mental and emotional states. I strive to help clients regain a positive quality of life, as well as rebuilding their strength and resiliency to face life’s challenges and stressors.
I have worked extensively with stress, anxiety and anxiety-related conditions, as well trauma and abuse survivors. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults who are dealing with issues related to Trauma/PTSD, Anxiety, ADHD, Self-Esteem, Depression, Emotional Dysregulation, Separation/Divorce, Foster Care/Adoption and Grief/Loss.
