I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois and have been practicing therapy in Chicago since 2013. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults who come to therapy for anxiety, depression, traumatic life events, and other issues that make it difficult to reach their goals. Additionally, I have experience working with LGBTQ+, non-binary, and gender non-conforming youth and adults. I am trained in several evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused CBT, sensorimotor psychotherapy, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
My style is warm and down-to-earth, and incorporates perspectives and tools from many styles of therapy so that I can tailor a unique approach together with my clients. I believe that therapy is an important space in which to feel seen, heard, and validated, practice new skills for living, and deepen our insight into patterns of unhelpful thinking or doing. Above all, I understand that the biggest predictor of positive change in therapy is the relationship - one that is caring, trusting, consistent, and safe from bias or labels. In my practice, I strive to be clear, honest, and genuine as we learn about your reality in a manner that feels comfortable for you.
