Hello and welcome!
My name is Ellen Minter and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been working in the helping profession for 17 years. Over the years, I have worked with various populations in various capacities. In addition to being a therapist, I have spent time as a teacher, sexual assault victim advocate, youth care worker for troubled youth, and direct support professional for the developmentally disabled. I learned many things in these roles and it is those things accompanied with my own personal life experiences that have most equipped me with the necessary skills and understanding to help you navigate the transitions of your life.
My therapeutic style is humorous, warm, and direct. While my role may be to help you feel better, I find that minimizing and appeasement are counterproductive to that goal. Always, I am honest and direct. I am very open-minded and I try to be respectful of all I work with. I have a bit of a multi-modal approach. I find that various techniques from different approaches, can work in conjunction in different situations.
Life is hard and unpredictable. I hope to help make things easier for you.

Ellen has and continues to be an essential asset in our family's life. She has helped my son struggling with behavior management, emotional regulation, ADHD as well as interpersonal skills. Thank you for being there for us and continuing to support our family.
Over the years I have attempted therapy several times and have found it difficult to relate to the doctors or counselors I have been assigned. Ellen is a breath of fresh air. She has a fun and honest approach to therapy. One of the things I enjoy about her the most is that she responds compassionately, while simultaneously holding me accountable. I love her approach to CBT, which makes it less daunting. She is truly a lovely person and deeply cares for her clients. I wish her all the best.
Ellen is warm, caring, and asks great questions. I never feel rushed or that my concerns are unimportant. I appreciate that she brings a Christian worldview to our sessions—I feel like she understands me. I'm so grateful we met.
Ellen Minter is incredible!
She's a good listener and has a way with narrowing thing down to the problem then she gives good advice and suggestions.
She also follows up in the middle of the week to see how I'm doing.
Ellen is wonderful, she will have you crying and laughing all within a blink of an eye. She allows you the freedom to be open and transparent, then asks you a simple question. That question has you thinking deeper and fully analyzing the situation. I've never had a therapist before and with Ellen she took the fear away from therapy and made it feel natural. I highly recommend her and teen counseling.
I love speaking with Ellen. She really understands what I am going though. She sees the things that I don’t see and asks the hard questions I need to consider. Would highly recommend her.
I appreciated Ellen's fair-mindedness and ability to see both of our perspectives. We sadly only had two sessions (through no fault of Ellen's), but both sessions offered encouragement, validation, and strategies for us to try.
Ellen is amazing! She really pushes me to understand why I think the way I do. At least once every meeting, she helps me reach some realization about myself that just sheds so much light on how my brain works. And she's always helping me grow. Meeting with her over the last few weeks has helped me so drastically. I'm a better communicator and I'm so much kinder to myself. She's just so awesome!
Ellen is an amazing woman. Shes helped me with great coping tools she listens to me and asks me questions that make me reflect on myself and what I can do to help my situations. She has an amazing sense of humor and is very direct when she needs to be. I really enjoy talking with her. I highly recommend her
I truly enjoy our sessions with Ellen. Even though my husband and I have constant communication, it was difficult to talk about important issues that bother us or understand what we needed for each other. Working with Ellen has been very helpful; she gives guidance on how to navigate difficult conversations.
Ellen has been great with understanding what's really going on in such a short period of time. I truly believe her guidance has and will continue to help me with my goals
Love Ellen. I believe God put us together. She can relate to my life. She is good at her job. He is straightforward but makes me feel like she really cares. I don’t know how many clients she has, but when she is talking to me I feel like I am her only priority.
