Dana White

About Me

Hello! Welcome to my page. I am Dana White, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas and Louisiana. I have been providing support and care for 15 years to adults of all ages, teens and children. I have worked in hospital environments, clinics, Foster Care and in private practice. I also have experience working with those with chronic health issues. While I have been providing care professionally for 15 years, I have been a natural helper since I was a teenager and have worked in many volunteer settings. I am committed to offering you a supportive environment to explore the concerns that are preventing you from living your best life.

I have enjoyed and worked with teens for many years. Teens today face many challenges they do not know how to handle. Whether it be school, sports, bullying, career, future, anxiety, depression, etc., I enjoy helping teens find their voice and moving toward the person they want to be. I have also worked with many who are on the Autism spectrum and are mainstreamed in school and other activities (formerly refered to as Aspersers). I am not a believer in medication for children. Therefore, I have many techniques that work well with children and teens diagnosed with ADHD and ADD. These techniques involve parent participation heavily.

I am down to earth, non-judgmental, and have a great sense of humor. I am eclectic in my musical tastes, any my favorite movie genre is psychological thrillers. Gardening is my favorite down time activity however; I also enjoy DIY projects and football (watching of course). I love all animals but my heart currently belongs to two loving kitties, Kyzar and Hunter.

I look forward to getting to know you and helping you process the things in your life that cause you stress, anxiety, depression, etc.

Dana White is a caring, compassionate, and loving women. She helped me find the emotions I had lost so many years ago. She has helped me see the beauty in myself, and helped me teen counseling my faith in God. She also helped me with my self harm and get control over myself. She listens intently to my problems and really makes me think about life in general. Dana has made such an impact on my life, that i couldn’t thank her enough for all that she’s done for me. I hope to repay her one day for making my life so much better. I can gladly say she is a close friend, who has done so much. I would highly recommend her as a therapist, she is wonderful.

Dana is thoughtful, caring, and non-judgmental. She considers my experience and works to help me cope with difficulties in my life in a healthy way. She truly cares and is knowledgeable, always working to learn. I have found my emotions are much more manageable with her as my coach and counselor.
