About Me
Hi there. My name is Courtney Baittie. I have been working as a counselor for the past 5 years. I currently hold licenses for practicing in both North Carolina and Illinois. The license is called LPC or Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University in Illinois. Illinois is where I was born and raised, but two years ago I moved to North Carolina to support my fiance in his job. In the past 5 years I have become a Nationally Certified Counselor as well as a Nationally Certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. The majority of my clientele has been teens, ranging in ages from 13-19. I have worked with teens who were in need of counseling for things such as Anxiety, Depression, Eating disorders, Bipolar disorder, Dissociative Identity Disorder, Anger Management, Self Esteem, Self Harm, Trauma, Family issues and Gender Identity Issues. I have worked with teens of all colors, religions, genders/identities (LGBTQ and more) and belief systems. My treatment approach is very person centered, focused on you, the client, and what you want and are looking for. My personal style is that the client is the driver and I, the therapist, am the passenger helping to guide you along. You, the client, are the one doing the work, setting the goals, I, the therapist, am helping provide you with ways to reach those goals.

Courtney was great, she helped me manage my attachment insecurity, bipolar swings, and was very comfortable talking to her.
Courtney was great! I felt very comfortable talking to her. She helped me a lot and I am very lucky to have had such a nice and lovely person as my first counsellor!
Courtney is an incredible therapist! I felt comfortable, supported, and listened to each time we met. So grateful for her expertise and humanity!
Courtney was very easy to talk to. She offers good advice and tips for things I can read about on my own time that helps me build confidence in my own day to day life and how to deal with my trauma. It’s always easy going conversation and doesn’t feel clinical.
Since I started working with Courtney I have worked on my past traumas and I am feeling much better, my anxiety is way lower than a month ago. She is like my Tom Riddle's diary but with good intentions!
She is incredibly supportive and very skilled at understanding the core issues as well as brining up the right questions to work through them. Having her in your court makes the whole difference when it comes to moving forward.
Courtney has been fantastic. She really listens to me and truely understands my feelings and what I've been through. Her advice has already helped me in my daily stress and stuggles. I feel very lucky to have been matched with her.
Courtney is really knowledgeable and nice
