I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in the states of Texas and California. I have over 15 years of experience working in the fields of mental health and education.
I have experience working with people experiencing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, stress, grief, life transitions, bullying, abuse, loneliness and isolation. Additionaly, I have worked with people on the Autism Spectrum.
I believe in unconditional positive regard and I bring an eclectic approach to therapy. I use client centered and solution focused approaches, with cognitive behavioral and art therapy components. I believe in meeting people where they are and customizing goals and processes with each client.
I have a Clear Pupil Personnel Services Credential through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. I have worked with children and teens for 10 years in home, educational and community settings. I often incorporate creativity into my counseling sessions using art, writing and play.
While I do bring the perspective of a mother of 2 children, I am also a (certified) former teenager. I love helping people to find creative ways to navigate the unique challenges faced throughout life.
Asking for help and being vulnerable with another person takes great courage. Thank you for reaching out!

Christina really cares about her patients.
Christina asks thoughtful questions and writes me back quickly and thoroughly. I feel cared about and she brings up things i’ve said about myself in previous sessions, giving me confidence that I am being listened to and that the puzzle piece of my problems are being remembered and sorted out with me. Christina has a kind and warm sense of humor and i feel safe with her.
