I have been working in the mental health field for almost 12 years now, but have been a practicing therapist for 6. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas, and went on to obtain my Master's in Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I then worked for two additional years to obtain training and supervision, in order to be approved as a Licensed Certified/Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Arkansas.
I have worked with a variety of populations, in a variety of settings, including but not limited to: the Veterans Administration, the LGBTQ+ population, adults with severe/chronic mental illness, case management services, and substance abuse treatment. My treatment approach is more in line with an integrative or holistic therapy; pulling from various tenets and modalities of evidence-based therapies in order to tailor treatment according to each client's needs. I tend to focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Humanistic Therapy. I have helped clients with a wide range of issues and concerns, including: depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, hallucinations, delusions, substance abuse, trauma and abuse, relationship issues, self esteem and self acceptance, crisis services, and disorganization.
I view my counseling style as warm, friendly, and, above all, genuine. At times we need an outside perspective and maybe just someone to listen to us, when life seems hard or complicated. I hope to support and encourage those who choose to work with me; and I cannot wait to help.

I am so amazed at how open and understanding she is. She gives very educated insights into thoughts and ideas that are very biased in today's times without judgement or bias. Very easy to talk to.
Christiane is incredibly empathetic, supportive and helpful. She’s truly been a blessing.
Christiane Long has been a wonderful resource for my teen daughter. My daughter has been open with her, and she has received better coping skills for anxiety. teen counseling has been convenient, and the best way for my daughter to communicate her feelings.
I highly recommend Christiane. She is incredibly compassionate, always responding in a timely manner and really hearing what it is you’re trying to express. In the few sessions I’ve had with her, she’s been a tremendous help.
