About Me

My former career as a middle school teacher as well as a play therapy focus in my masters counseling program gives me additional skills for tweens and teens. Counseling is best when it's personalized. There is no such things as a "one-size-fits-all" method to therapy. I have found that many of us have a combination of trauma and maladaptive behaviors that once explored and processed can dramatically improve the quality of life. I implement four cornerstone treatment approaches: EMDR, Mindful Movement, DBT(Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and expressive arts to calm the nervous system, resolve trauma and incorporate new behaviors.
I serve dynamic populations. I have worked in behavioral health hospitals, residential treatment centers and in managed care settings. In each of these experiences I have had the great opportunity to assist emotionally dysregulated individuals and facilitate the restoration of resilience and balance.
I look forward to discussing any way I can potentially assist you.

Callie is a wonderful, thoughtful counselor and I've really enjoyed working with her. She's really helped me articulate and interrogate my beliefs and sort through my feelings during an unbelievably tumultuous time in our public history, as well as provide me with concrete strategies for doing these things when I'm not able to have a session.

Thank you so much for the time that you invested in our daughter. We've seen huge changes and improvements in her behavior and most of all in her self esteem. We will definitely refer our friends.

I am picky about my counselors and it took me many tries before I found Callie. Many counselors, despite being qualified, are in my opinion unprofessional. And others are very cookie cutter. Callie is extremely intelligent, intuitive and retains knowledge about the field. She knows how to respond and handle complex situations and offers multiple modalities, including art, as a way to move through emotions and difficulties. She is equally accepting as she is encouraging and for this reason and others I would highly recommend her.

Callie is awesome. Affirming, challenging, she listens, shares genuine concern, and has been extremely helpful over a variety of issues we joined to work through.

I initially came to Callie 5 days after the passing of my younger brother, to help with my grief. Since then we have worked on my grief, parenting, relationship issues and long unaddressed trauma. Callie is my saving grace. She is responsive to my messages, thoroughly walks me through exercises and has given me a hope I didn’t know existed. I look forward to our continued work.
