Anita Adjetey (Founder & CEO of Passion Youth Center- www.pycaa.com) has worked with children (4 yrs. & up) for 12+ years. She is particularly interested in advanced training in working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, displayed at-risk behaviors, or problems with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, as well as training in addressing social skills, relational issues, and career coaching. In addition, she has conscientiously pursued many trainings related to children's developmental stages and issues, attended various workshops and seminars and gained school counseling licensure, all of which enabled her to construct a solid groundwork for more advanced studies. One of her many strengths is her ability to establish authentic relationships with those she works with, using a person-centered technique. Her style is highly solution-focused, preferring an integrative approach to therapy as the grounds to provide a foundation for building relationships with clients.
She has developed a philosophy to listen to and meet individuals where they are, and accept the incongruence that working with children, youth, and adults may bring. She has a great ability to establish authentic relationships with those she works with. She recognizes that an open and honest relationship between client and counselor can produce a positive effect in the therapeutic process and the level of acceptance demonstrated between the two parties. She intends to use person-centered technique, solution-focused and the integrative/systemic approach to therapy as a strength to help provide the foundation for relationships with clients. She exercises empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard, and strives to understand the client’s world in whatever way they wish to share. She shows respect for anyone, allowing them to proceed in whatever way is comfortable for them. She strives to reduce anxiety in order to increase engagement and connection, create a safe environment for discussion, and impart knowledge and facts about the various options and their implications. She is an advocate for individuals who are unable to advocate for themselves and her desire to empower disenfranchised people. Her clinical experience has demonstrated her aptitude in providing support and collaboration with community systems to ensure the best client care.

Anita has been patient, with me and my son. Even though we’ve been irregular about meeting
Anita is a wonderful counselor. She is quick to understand and read the situation. Very mindful and helpful with listening and navigating difficult topics. I feel very safe when talking to her and not judge. I think she is one of the best counselors I have ever had and I have been through a couple different programs. She always responds in a timely manner and is always on time for meetings. Have recommended teen counseling to multiple friends because of my experience with Anita.
Anita was very professional and I was very pleased with my first session.
I have never been to therapy before but Anita made me feel comfortable from the start. The session is very laid back and doesn't feel like an interview but rather talking to someone who wants to listen and wants to challenge me. After just 1 session she has made me think about questions that I push away and that is so eye opening.
Anita is a great counselor. She asks lots of relevant questions to see where you are at as a couple and the tasks information she provides are very helpful.
Anita is a great counselor! I like that she helps us ask ourselves questions we've never thought to ask, and challenges us to consider things we previously dismissed. I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for a marriage counselor.
I love having Anita A as my counselor. In comparison to my counselors in the past, I have made the most progress with her. Her honesty and communication skills are top tier and makes it extremely easy to be honest back.
Very professional and able to get to what the issues are and offer very good solutions.
Usually therapy is stressful and feels like homework and I feel like I disappoint my therapists. Anita doesn't stress me out. She doesn't make me feel like I owe her anything. She encourages me when im taking steps towards better health, and consoles me when I mess up
Anita is great!

I really enjoy speaking with Anita. She makes me feel comfortable, understands my concerns, suggests helpful techniques/solutions, and has a sincere personality. She is serious when needed and lighthearted when needed as well. I look forward to my sessions with Anita.
